Class 2 Forklift Operator (Operator Forklift Kelas II)
Scope
Forklifts are indispensable tools in numerous industries, facilitating the lifting and transportation of goods across varying terrains. Grouped with Lifting and Transporting Devices, they are regulated by Minister of Manpower Decree No. 05/MEN/1985 and Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 09/MEN/VII/2010 concerning Operators and Officers of Lifting and Transporting Devices.

Safety is paramount in forklift operation, not only for the operator but also for fellow workers. This course emphasizes the importance of workplace safety, ensuring that participants understand and adhere to safety protocols. Upon completion, participants receive a Forklift Operator SIO certificate, sanctioned by the Ministry of Manpower, demonstrating their commitment to safety and proficiency in forklift operation.

This Class 2 certification is for forklifts rated below 15 tons.

General Course Objectives:
By participating in Class 2 Forklift Operator training (below 15 tons), delegates will be able to:
  • Provide knowledge regarding regulations in the operation of Lifting and Transporting Devices.
  • Provide knowledge regarding safe, effective, and efficient operation of forklifts based on applicable laws.
  • Know the right type of forklift to move goods.
  • Understand the terms and important parts of a forklift.
  • Operate a forklift properly and correctly.

  • HSE policies and basics
  • Law No. 1 Year 1970 concerning Work Safety
  • Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 05/MEN/1985 concerning Lift & Transport Aircraft
  • Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 09/MEN/2010 concerning Operators and Officers of Lift & Transport Devices
  • Basic Forklift knowledge
  • Forklift plane drive system
  • Forklift aircraft hydraulic system
  • Work safety devices (safety devices)
  • Causes of accidents in forklift operation
  • Calculate the weight of the load
  • Safe Operation
  • Daily maintenance & inspection
  • Knowledge of job safety analysis and stability
  • Theory test
  • Practical
Prerequisites:
  • Minimum of middle school diploma / equivalent.
  • 1 year minimum experience assisting with forklift operations.
  • 3x Digital photo (2x3 & 4x6) on red background.
  • Valid Medical Certificate from Doctor/Clinic.
  • Letter of employment from current employer.
  • Copy of ID card.
  • Laptop or Android cell phone with a stable internet connection (applicable for blended method only)
  • Integrity Pact
Certificate:
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance standards will receive
  • A training provider certificate Class II Forklift Operator.
  • Certificate and License/SIO from Kemenakertrans RI.
  • A laminated wallet course qualification card.
