Scope
This Fire Safety Awareness training raises awareness of the dangers associated with fire and the practical steps that can be taken to minimise and control the risks that fire presents.

The course covers the incidents involving fire, key legislation applicable to fire in non-domestic premises, on construction sites and work activities that could involve fire, the basic components of fire, the stages a fire passes through, how fire spreads, how fires can be prevented, types and uses of fire extinguishers, risk assessment and fire safety arrangements. This course will also briefly cover correct response during a fire emergency.

General Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, delegates will:
  • Have a basic understanding of fire and its impact
  • Understand what causes fires and methods of prevention.
  • Understand how to minimise the risk of fires.
  • Have a basic understanding of fire prevention equipment
  • Be aware of fire detection and warning systems in your workplace.
  • Be aware of response during a fire emergency
  • Helps you understand your responsibilities for fire safety.
Course Content:
  • An overview of the fire triangle theory.
  • Understanding of workplace fire hazards and their prevention.
  • Common causes of fires, including sources of ignition, fuel, and oxygen.
  • Fire safety equipment, including the different types of fire extinguishers & fire hydrants.
  • Basic knowledge of Indonesia’s regulations related to fire safety & emergency.
  • How to respond in the event of a fire emergency.
  • Fire signage, evacuation routes, assembly points and other useful information.
  • Coordination & communication during fire emergency.
  • Recognising the key roles and responsibilities for fire prevention & fire emergencies.
